Offshore Lifting Technician
Due to ever expanding operational requirements, we have an immediate opening for a fulltime Lifting Technician (Adhoc), working offshore Newfoundland, reporting to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will support lifting and hoisting relating inspections for all fixed hoists and cranes (monorail cranes, gantry cranes, etc.), loose lifting gear (chain falls, slings, hoists, trolleys, etc.), fixed lifting points (monorails, pad eyes etc.), fall protection and abseiling equipment, lifting hooks and blocks, wire ropes and platform pedestal crane structural components.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Conduct inspections in accordance with the requirements of CAPP Atlantic Canada Safe Lifting Practice, ASME, DNV and Lloyds Register standards, and all Owner specific requirements.
- Develop reports detailing the findings for inspection activities for fixed equipment and loose equipment, interpret the inspection findings and make recommendations for remedial work, and for future inspection scheduling.
- Carry out non-destructive testing on plant, equipment, or structures in a safe, effective, and timely manner.
- Assess the integrity and safety of lifting equipment and make sound judgment with regards to the suitability of the equipment and its intended use.
- Perform equipment setup and calibration to comply with industry and company standards.
- Ensure that all findings are brought to the attention of the appropriate personnel and when required communicate findings to client at the field location.
- Support development and ongoing inputs to development of associated work methods to meet regulatory and client changes.
- Keep up to date with changes in relevant standards and legislation, acting as an advisor to on-site client representatives.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel by using systems and methods of work that are, as far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health or the environment.
- Advise the Project Manager, Offshore Supervisors, and/or Inspection Engineer of inconsistencies between work practices and written documents.
What will you contribute?
- Candidates must have 5 – 7 years practical experience (continuous learning) in lifting inspection, testing and re-certification of cranes, fixed gear, and loose lifting equipment.
- Completion of 2 Year technical program.
- LEEA, CGSB MT, and CWB Level 1 or 2 Certification are essential.
- Additional ISO9712 equivalent NDT certifications would desirable.
- IRATA Certification, or willingness to obtain IRATA certification.
- Certification and experience with inspection of offshore containers.
- Overhead and Mobile crane inspection certification.
- Fall protection inspection certification.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant regulatory codes and standard – ASME, CSA, API.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Additional Information:
- Pay rates are competency-based and wages range from $675.52 – $1,014.93 per day, pending qualifications and experience.

Integrity Engineer (Remote)
The Integrity Inspection Technician/Engineer will report directly to the Lead Integrity Inspection Engineer. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, support for the project may be required outside of regular business hours, including weekends.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate Supports Integrity/Inspection contract management activities but not limited to the following:
- Complete technical reviews on inspection reports, and steward follow-up actions based on inspection findings.
- Update pressure equipment registers.
- Coordinate, support development and review of work packs for upcoming inspection activities
- Prepare, submit, track and implement MOC submittals.
- Assist with planning of inspection activities.
- Maintain and continuously update computer databases and hard-file historical data with the latest available inspection and corrosion monitoring data, material specifications and design/operating conditions.
- Participate in client meetings.
What will you contribute?
- CET or Professional Engineering Designation with a focus in the oil & gas industry.
- Certifications related to API 510, API 570, API 580 and/or NDT methods are preferred.
- 3 -5 years experience supporting Integrity Management and Inspection of Topside modules and mounted structures, primary and secondary structural elements, outfitting steel, drilling equipment and components of the concrete Gravity Base Structure (GBS), and supporting lifting and hoisting related equipment.
- Demonstrated track record delivering results for large, complex offshore projects.
- Experience in MS Office tools, with a proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in risk-based assessments of static equipment.
- Experience in materials and corrosion of upstream equipment.
- Experience in the use of Meridium and or SAP databases would be considered an asset.

Quality Control / Inspection Technician
Due to ever expanding operational requirements, we have an immediate opening for fulltime NDT Inspection Technicians (Adhoc), working offshore Newfoundland, reporting to the Project Manager. The successful candidate(s) should have an IRATA Level 1 or willing to complete certification upon hire. Additionally, the candidate(s) would also have MT 2, PT2, UT2, CWB 1 and either ET1 or RT2 & CEDO certifications.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Inspector must possess in depth knowledge of inspection practices and certification process.
- Carry out non-destructive testing on plant, equipment or structures in a safe, effective and timely manner.
- Assess the integrity and safety of equipment and make sound judgment with regards to the suitability of the equipment and its intended use.
- Perform equipment setup and calibration to comply with industry and company standards.
- Perform Non-destructive examinations/tests to assess quality condition and/or identify defects.
