The Opportunity
 

Reporting to the North Maintenance Supervisor, this position will perform journeyperson level work related to the installation, operation, maintenance, and modifications of electrical and instrumentation equipment on the Access Pipeline System. This position may also support commissioning of new facilities, and during all the above adhere to Wolf Midstream’s strong commitment to HSE and ITR (Integrity, Trust, and Respect). This position is based in Camp (Conklin, AB area) and is scheduled for 7 on/ 7 off rotation and is very much a team-based atmosphere where operations and maintenance support each other as workload dictates.


This position requires the successful candidate to live within 350kms of Conklin, AB. Transportation is provided to site.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field-based maintenance on Electrical and Instrumentation equipment along the entire pipeline network
  • Steward the E/I Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Ensure safety is the primary focus in all work-related activities
  • Participate in new construction projects which include design reviews, hazops, acceptance testing, commissioning, and start-up
  • Work with Operations and Engineering to identify and implement improvements
  • Develop and execute maintenance procedures
  • Attend external training to stay current with technological advancements associated with installed equipment
  • Mentor and train other pipeline personnel
  • Execute field operational activities as required
  • Supervise 3rd party contractors when required
  • Participate in the Maintenance PM/Calibration record management
  • Actively participate in Emergency Response activities
  • Periodic extended out of town work is expected

Qualifications and Experience


Skills:

  • Excellent Safety record and related training
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Superior computer skills
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and abstract
  • Ability to work out of town and be on call

Education:

  • Journeyperson Electrical certification with preference given to candidates possessing an Instrumentation certification
  • Technical Diploma would be an asset

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 year’s Maintenance experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, low and medium voltage equipment, VFD’s, MOV’s, Cathodic protection systems, electric actuators (Rexa)
